Vermont Extended Universe: Vermont’s Wild, Plausible Past

VEU The Vermont Extended Universe: Vermont’s Wild, Plausible Past

How well do you know Vermont?  What if the Green Mountain State held secrets—alternate histories and hidden truths that explain more about the world than the maps or your Uncle Frank can?

That’s the idea behind The VEU. It’s a small collection of historical fiction with paranormal twists and an investigator’s journey to piece it all together. Think of it as Vermont’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood—a reimagining of history that’s wilder but more believable all at once. I kept it short to keep the pricing reasonable, and I will release it in bits and pieces like seasons of TV.

Abigail George is our guide, a tireless investigator tasked with tracking down “leaks” from the VEU—an alternate Vermont where the lines blur between folklore, forgotten moments, and things that should never be uncovered. These stories aren’t random; they’re deeply tied to history and society, reinterpreted, and layered with fiction.

This is for the readers who enjoy world-building. Stories like The Vampires of the Northeast Kingdom or Tsar Island spin what we know about history into something entirely new but strangely familiar.

This is a reminder that history is incomplete. Fiction provides emotions.

Volume 1 is available now—free online until Wednesday. The story doesn’t end here. In Spring 2025, Volume 2 will take readers deeper into Vermont’s mysteries.

Download Volume 1 before Wednesday and share it with someone who loves untold histories or speculative fiction. You don’t have to believe in alternate universes to see their value—you just have to be open to the possibility that the past is bigger than you think.
