Today, I posted a video examining two psychological thrillers about duality and hidden identities. Two films that brilliantly explore these themes are Jordan Peele’s “Us” and George Sluizer’s “The Vanishing.” Us is an underrated gem and The Vanishing is a classic that Kubrick himself thought was terrifying. Though they’re separated by decades and differ in their storytelling, both movies terrorize us laser-focused on the complexities of human nature and the shadows lurking within us all.
